U.S. Department of State Bureau of African Affairs
The comprehensive interior renovation involved full architectural, mechanical and electrical upgrades, as well as an FF&E package. As a major objective, the concept aimed to increase natural light in inner spaces. Building upon the original theme within the Bureau, the materials palette used natural woods to create a soft and warm environment. Endemic African art was used throughout as a palpable cultural connection with the region.
