U.S. Department of State U.S. Mission to the Organization of American States
Programmed for eighteen occupants, a library, and conference center, the design of the U.S. Mission to the Organization of American States provides an essential level of privacy in office areas, while welcoming visitors in the spaces. Important to the functionality of the suite, the design relocated the building's corridors to the courtyard side to capitalize on views of Washington, DC and afford natural light to executive offices. Finishes within the interior were selected for their durability and warmth and include limestone floors and maple panels in reception areas. Maple doors, frames, and millwork were chosen to match the systems furniture for continuity.
