American Sugarbeet Headquarters Office
KCCT performed the design and interior fit-out of new headquarters space for the American Sugarbeet Growers Association, an organization that legislatively and internationally represents the interest of sugarbeet farmers. The new office suite, located in the heart of Washington, DC's Central Business District, was designed to host meetings and events to advance the dialogue between farmers and legislators. The suite includes a reception area, a generous conference room, glass-walled private offices, and support space.
The interior design concept creates a sense of familiarity by transforming the suite into a highly customizable hub. KCCT's Interiors Studio derived inspiration from the notions of idyllic agricultural landscape, earthy hues, and rich textures under a clean blue sky. These ideas were translated into the space by balancing the connection to the landscape with a light and airy cosmopolitan sensibility.
KCCT channeled textural interest into a unique caret tile design that echoes crop rows or striations in a root's surface. The addition of a sky blue accent wall in the reception area functions as a window into expansive spaces, and a contemporary branding wall features miniatures of the equipment traditionally utilized by a sugarbeet farmer.
