Washington, DC (August 2023)
Charles Munson, RA, LEED AP, Senior Architect at KCCT, has achieved his Construction Documents Technologist (CDT) certification. An advocate for promoting the importance of specifications and developing strong QA/QC procedures, Charles’ interest in public architecture and complex projects drew him to KCCT, where he has worked for 15 years in the government, transportation, and commercial sectors. He serves in a project support capacity with an emphasis on specifications, while also performing technical design tasks for multiple building types, reviewing project submittals, and coordinating with engineering and specialty disciplines. His portfolio includes KCCT's most public-facing historic renovation efforts, including the Grant Memorial Conservation and the renovation of the George C Marshall Wing of the Harry S Truman Building.
“Passing the Construction Documents Technologist (CDT) certification exam is meaningful for my career as it is the first official requirement on the path to achieve construction specifier certification and encourages me to pursue further goals, whether personal or professional,” said Munson.
