PROMOTED TO SENIOR DESIGNER
KCCT is pleased to announce the promotion of Dan Lavoie to Associate. Dan began his career at KCCT as an intern in 2002. Today, he serves as Project Manager and Senior Architect in the International Studio where he plans and designs the rehabilitation/renovation and new construction of U.S. embassies and their tenants. Well-versed in the protocols of all aspects of embassy design, Dan has been involved with more than twelve embassy projects in highly-sensitive areas around the globe. His work includes new diplomatic facilities in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea; Mbabane, Swaziland; Monterrey, Mexico; Valletta, Malta; Kingston, Jamaica; and Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Dan has also consulted with lead designers Morphosis Architects for US Embassy Beirut and Weiss Manfredi Architects for the new US Embassy in New Delhi.
Dan utilizes his interest in architectural history, building technology and innovation to visualize and execute efficient functional buildings that meld American values with a respect for the heritage and culture of the host country.
