New U.S. Embassy
KCCT, in collaboration with Krueck and Sexton Architects, is currently designing the new U.S. Embassy in the Arnona section of Jerusalem for the U.S. Department of State. The 17.6 acre site in West Jerusalem is located just south of the 1949 Green Line that was intended as a demarcation line between Israel and its neighbors. The site sits on a plateau with substantial grade changes on all sides awarding an expansive view from the site over the region’s valleys and cherry orchards all the way to the Dead Sea. The project is an inspiring and greatly needed expansion of the diplomatic mission that co-locates staff scattered throughout seven different compounds in Jerusalem, and is a powerful symbol of the U.S. commitment to this region of the world. KCCT is providing Architectural, Interior Design, Master Planning, Programming, Project Management, and Security Design services for the 12,800 square meter project.
