The Embassy of Australia was recognized with the 2024 AIA|DC Chapter Design Award in Architecture

The Embassy of Australia in Washington, DC receives the IIDA’s Best of Competition designation.

Winning projects were selected by a jury of distinguished design experts for outstanding, innovative, and original interior design.​

Dan Lavoie has been promoted to an Associate. He is an integral part of the KCCT team, and was promoted to a Senior Architect in 2017.

Corey Mack has become a Registered Architect. Corey has assisted in several projects including Department of State renovations, Foreign Affairs Security Training Centers, and the Camp Peary Dining Hall. Corey passed his final ARE exam in October, 2018.

KCCT participated in the International Interior Design Association Mid-Atlantic Chapter’s Washington Metro City Center Cosmo Couture DC fundraising event on September 20th, 2018, at the Washington National Cathedral.

THOMAS L. TWOHEY, AIA local architect and founding principal of KCCT, passed away on July 31, 2017 after a brief illness. A graduate of the University of California Berkley where he studied architecture, Tom went on to a successful career in the offices of Rex Allen, Hugh Stubbins, and Harry Weese.

Washington, DC (December 2015) KCCT won the “Structural Ingenuity” award in CANstructionDC 2015 for its design of Washington Dulles International Airport. CANstruction is a unique charity that hosts competitions showcasing structures made out of cans of food, which are then displayed as a giant art exhibition.​

KCCT ranked No. 117 in the national Zweig Group Hot Firm List, earning the firm a “Fast Growth Award”. The award, presented at the Hot Firm and A/E Industry Awards Conference in Boston is based on the achievement of 20 percent or greater growth by the firm.
